Crystal is in the process of securing a World Bank fund for establishing a 5 MW coal fired power plant for its business units. Crystal consultants are providing the technical support for all its logistics and documentations including obtaining licensing and power purchase agreement.

Crystal has also its steps in solar and other renewable energy area. With support from Infrastructure Development Company, (IDCOL), a World Bank concern, Crystal is also in the process of producing solar power to household level.

Crystal has very strong contacts in energy sectors of Bangladesh that includes BERC, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources division, Power Cell, Petrobangla, Power Development Board, Rural Electrification Board, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh etc. Crystal can help its clients in any issues of Power production, licensing, sales and distribution, agreements (off take, land lease etc.) and even can help significantly in getting large lending for power from donor agencies, i.e. World Bank and ADB.
